2018 Art in Bloom Event Information
Art blooms in Downtown Medford once again this Mother’s Day Weekend, May 12th &13th. On Mother’s Day Weekend, Downtown Medford will host its 18th annual Art in Bloom Festival, presented by the City of Medford, The Mail Tribune, US Bank, RVTD, Horton Foundation, & many others.Art in Bloom is a spectacular springtime festival showcasing fine artists from the West Coast. A variety of artists and horticulturists have been selected to exhibit and sell their work including a fine selection of photography, jewelery, garden decor, paintings, and much more . Activities include a children’s arts and entertainment area, live music and performances, and food and drink vendors. Bring the entire family to Downtown Medford to enjoy Art in Bloom 2018 on Saturday, May 12 from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday, May 13 from 11 am to 4 pm. There’s something for everyone at Art in Bloom! Art in Bloom, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, provides ongoing community and financial support for local art programs and garden beautification. Please visit our Information booth in Vogel Plaza to receive your map of the event and entertainment lineup for the weekend. Also enter our giveaway to win gifts from our Artisans. This event features live entertainment, great food, children’s art tent, chalk art creation & lemonade stands. Life Art/ Life Track will be at the event creating Graffiti art LIVE for you to watch! This is an event that has something for the entire family! Nature Joe will entertain the kids with his large selection of reptiles and animals. The kids will be able to hold lizards, snakes, a hedgehog and much more. www.naturejoes.com Nature Joe’s ark will be located on Central and 6th street in street beside Central Art Supply. Annie the clown presents Fun Town including a Jump house, interactive puppet theater and will be brightening up kids’ faces with her amazing face paintings! www.annaspartyworks.com Annie will be happy to see kids on 7th & central.
Science Works is bringing several hands on exhibits for the curious minds and will be located on Central Avenue outside of Middleford Yarn Co.
Kids can plant a free flower for mom on her special day. Hosted by the Grange Co-op.

Jamie Bryn will be creating a chalk art display for us throughout the event. You will need to check in often to see the progress and watch the picture come to life. Art in Bloom will have one stage packed with local entertainment: Ann & Friends, Blowin’ Smoke, RV German Band, Dance Arts Academy, Blue Lightning, and Ballet Folklorico Ritmo Alegre just to name a few.The Bartlett Stage is located in the Banner Bank parking lot. Our demonstration area showcases America’s Best Kids- Dance/ Gymnastics, Panache Dance, and other local groups. This demonstration area is located on Central Avenue near Central Art Supply. Calligraphy, spinning, weaving and blown glass displays are ongoing all weekend in Vogel Plaza and Theater Alley. Kid entrepreneurs will have lemonade stands that they have designed. And will be selling tastes of their special recipes created as their exclusive drink. They will be placed throughout the festival for $1.00 per taste. Ladies Biz Lane will have all the latests pampering products on hand to sample. These ladies are preparing to pamper Mom’s on their special day. Vendors such as Jamberry, Thirty-one, Advocare, Younique, Arbonne, Dove Chocolates, Scentsy will be at this year’s festival, just to name a few. After shopping Ladies Biz Lane those who are over 21 may visit the Pop Up Bar tent for some food, music and some special mom’s day drink specials NEW NEW NEW!!!!! Feel like you are walking into the Jungle as you visit The Walk On The Wild Side Animal Education Exhibit. You will see many animals like: Baby Tiger, Serval, Canadian Linx, Binturong Bear, Baby Wallaby, just to name a few. http://wildsideoregon.org/contact-us/ Art education is one of the chief goals of Art in Bloom and over the years the non-profit organization has funded art projects and student awards at North, South, Phoenix, & Grants Pass High Schools, Medford Independent School and Central Medford High. In the present economy school budgets have been forced to cut these programs.
