MOTHER’S DAY WEEKEND 2025

On Mother’s Day weekend downtown Medford will host its 20th Art In Bloom in celebration of fine arts, flowers, and food.  Art in Bloom is a spectacular springtime festival showcasing fine artists from the west coast. The event features live entertainment, art, food, children’s art activities, chalk art, and more.

Currently over 50 artists and horticulturists have been selected to exhibit and sell their work during the two-day festival.

Art in Bloom is a 501c3 non-profit organization. If you would like to make a donation to support art education mail a check to P.O. Box 1103, Jacksonville, OR 97530. Revenue generated from this year’s festival will fund future Art in Bloom events and help support youth art education programs.

– Art blooms in Downtown Medford once again this Mother’s Day Weekend, May 10th & 11th!

On Mother’s Day weekend, Downtown Medford will host its 20th annual Art in Bloom Festival, presented by the City of Medford, other sponsors include Horton Foundation,  Grange Co-op,

Travel Medford, Rogue Disposal, AIA, Cow Creek Casino, Creative Marketing & Design, Craterian Theater, Central Art Supply, Oregon Pacific Bank, UpTown Events & Stewards Porta Potties.

Art in Bloom is a spectacular springtime festival showcasing fine artists from the West Coast. A variety of over 60 artists and horticulturists have been selected to exhibit and sell their work including a fine selection of photography, jewelry, garden decor, paintings, and much more. Activities include a children’s craft areas, live music and entertainment. and food and drink Food concessions. Artisans are located on Main, Vogel Plaza, Lithia Commons Area. Live entertainment is enjoyed at The Commons Stage.  Please visit our Information Booth in Pear Blossom Park to receive a map of the event and entertainment lineup for the weekend.

Life Art/ Life Track a non- profit that helps guide and support at risk youth in Southern Oregon will be creating graffiti art LIVE for you to watch! You can find this display in Pear Blossom Park.  http://suicidepreventionjacksoncounty.com/lifeart

Walking Tall is a non-profit group mentoring young men to have real life experiences, building personal respect integrity & character through job readiness skills in woodworking, carpentry, automotive, welding, fabricating, small engine theory and much more. https://walkingtallso.org

Kids face painting will be available – details to be announced.

Youth 715 Ministries a non-profit creating a safe place for teens to get gather and create lasting relationships a will have a couple crafts including planting a FREE flower for Mom on her special day courtesy of Grange Co-op. https://www.71five.org/

The Children’s Museum of Southern Oregon located in the heart of downtown Medford is a world class center for families to learn, play and have fun together. They will be on site with a paint a rock project. https://www.tcmso.org

Several other projects will also be available for the kiddos.

Art in Bloom provides opportunities for local youth artistic groups to perform and recruit new participants. They will be at the Pear Blossom Stage including:

Miss Diana’s School of Ballet, Turning Point Dance, Ballet Folklorico, ABK Gymnastics, The Annex Fusion Dane Studio, Carson Westfall. Sound provided by Spot Lights on You DJ Service.

Enjoy Busker throughout the festival.

Introduce your child to BMX Freestyle at Nourie’s bike workshop during the Festival.

The workshop will be led by BMX legend Dave Nourie, it offers riders age 9 and up to learn flat land fundamentals. Bikes are provided, just bring enthusiasm, helmet and $35.00!!!!

Riders must pre-register at davenourie.com.  Dave Nourie will also be performing.

American Institute of Architects will be at the event. Details to be announced

Kid entrepreneurs will have lemonade stands that they have designed and will be selling tastes of their special recipes created as their exclusive drink. The various lemonades will be located throughout the festival.

Ladies Biz Lane will have all the latest pampering products on hand to sample. These ladies are preparing to pamper Mom’s on their special day.

Art education is one of the chief goals of Art in Bloom.  In the present economy, school budgets have been forced to cut these programs. Over the years the non-profit organization has funded art projects and student awards at North, South, Phoenix, & Grants Pass High Schools, Medford Independent School and Central Medford High. This year, Art In Bloom is helping support creative endeavors for Walking Tall youth programs  http://walkingtallso.org/
